Construction for the Master Baker solar PV rooftop plant began in late 2017 and was completed in March 2018. The site in the National Industries Park (Technopark), Dubai, has a roof area of around 10,000 m2. The 3,300 solar panels on the site are cleaned by automated smart cleaning robots, which eliminates the need for manual labor and makes the system more efficient, providing even greater value to Master Baker.
This is Enerwhere’s first installation for Masterbaker in the UAE. Their solar rooftop plant is composed of state of the art solar equipment that meets the toughest international standards, as well as mounting structures that can resist the harsh weather conditions in the UAE.
The site generates power from 1,056 MWp of dual glass solar panels, which is converted to AC by 15 x 60 kW string inverters. The production is expected to be around 1,711 MWh of solar energy per year, helping Masterbaker to lower their CO2 emissions by 1,186 tons annually.
The system was designed with a guaranteed lifetime of 30 years.
